There’s a feature in Issue 105 of Linux User magazine which mentions us!
In an article entitled Hackerspace Entrepreneurs and Makers, Richard Smedley looks at how the same impulses that drove the pioneers of the Industrial Revolution to create engines and machines are today driving makers and hackers to work with Arduino and 3D printers.
It’s an interesting article and covers recent products and tinkerings at DoES Liverpool, Fizzpop over in Birmingham and Build Brighton alongside the obvious London Hackspace mention. There’s also a list of active UK hackspaces/hackspace groups which includes Leeds and the article includes a link to hackspace.org’s list to find out more.
The article isn’t available online but there will be a copy of the magazine available to have a look at the next LHS meeting if you fancy a look.
